The YDF program was enhanced in 2023 and is now called as the Enhanced Youth Development Facilitator (eYDF) program and is currently managed by Mr. Randy Bandonill who is the YDF Coordinator.
This is the Philippine Navigators’ program for equipping young individuals (called “trainees”) so they become effective leaders and influencers of God’s Kingdom either as full-time staff, as laborers in their sphere of influence, or as National/ Regional and Local leaders, etc.
Specifically, the program aims to:
- provide further help for YDFs who desire more intensive and supervised training in the Navigator ministry focusing on disciple-making and SBC formation;
- provide full-time cross area ministry exposure for their own development;
- help widen and clarify their vision regarding the ministry and their future involvement;
- let them experience cross-cultural missions by participating in a short-term mission program;
- prepare them in their future work place or ministry; and,
- reinforce ministries where basic laborers are needed.
The trainees are provided the opportunities to gain knowledge, exposure, and experience in all aspects
of the disciple-making ministry, from evangelism, to establishing, and if possible, to equipping. Training sessions are also provided through the Navigators Institute (NI), through readings, and through mentoring sessions with the local YDF trainer. The trainees also undergo counseling and get to participate in a Short-term Missions Exposure program.
