WEEK 3

MINDANAO

WEEK 4

OVERSEAS

A. Ukraine

• Please pray for the many brothers and sisters doing God’s work in Ukraine. There are numerous missionaries, and pastors and church leaders who are actively on the ground serving the Ukrainian people daily. Pray for their protection, and that they be able to freely continue serving God and the people around them. Pray that they would be unafraid and unashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation for those who believe, and that God would enable them to walk in His strength and stand firm against the evil that faces them now.

• Pray that in the face of fear, believers in Ukraine will find opportunities to hold out the Good News of Christ, who offers us perfect peace in a world that offers none. Acts 8:4 tells us, “Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.”  As it has in so many other times and places, may this time of unrest and persecution serve to ignite the Gospel in ways we can’t even imagine.

B. Malaysia

PROMISES

Isaiah 49:6 It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

STRATEGIC PRAYER FOCUS

Community Ministry. Intercede for us as local group leaders and laborers to live well and work together for the Master in His Kingdom business. Pray for wisdom and strength to stick it out over the long haul—not the grim strength of gritting our teeth but the glory- strength God gives, to advance the Gospel through families and relational networks. (Colossians 1:9-12 MSG)

Young People Ministry. Pray for the core team of six young working adults, and campus leaders & labourers’ team to be filled with joy, always thanking the Father for he has rescued them from the kingdom of darkness and transferred them into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who died on the cross to purchase their freedom and forgave their sins. (Colossians 1:11 NLT) Pray that the joy and thankfulness will become Philippians 2:8 their foundational motivation to love God by obeying His calling, to live and disciple among unbelieving friends at workplace and among students in campus.

Poor and Marginalised. Pray for our initiative to reach out to the poor and marginalised through the newly set up NGO. We are trusting God to stir up the spirit of our local leaders and labourers to serve together in this ministry for the glory of God. (Haggai 1:14)

Missions. Despite of the Philippians hardship, Paul commended them for their partnership in reaching the nations as he encouraged them to be fruitful insiders in their local context. (Philippians 1:3-5 NLT) Ask God to enable our local leaders and labourers to see local ministry and world missions are not competitors so that one empowers and energizes the other to experience the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

Answered Prayers and Praises

“Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Psalm 103:1-5, NIV

Malaysia

We give thanks to God for the oneness in Christ that enable us to experience His glory as we pursue the five strategic directions.

  1. Spirit-led and God-Dependent Culture
  2. Ownership and Oneness
  3. Community of Vibrant and Life-long Labourers
  4. Missions, Neighbours and Pioneering Initiatives
  5. New Believers and New Labourers.
