Benjamin Update from Alan & Connie

  1. 3 Sept, 1.19am (KL Time): Ben has been home over a week and close to two weeks after surgery. He is not taking any medication for pain. A nurse, PT and OT has come to check on and help Ben. His appetite has improved but yet to fully enjoying his food 😟. He hugs his heart pillow most of the time and we are conscious that he doesn’t fall when he’s up. Pray for healing of the sternum (6-8 weeks), free of any infections and Haemoglobin and Hematocrit to increase which in turn increases oxygenated blood to the body. This will also bring down his heart rate and increase his energy level. Continue to pray for Ben’s full recovery, healing of his eyes, ears and the tingling in his right arm and to experience 2 Cor 12:9 daily.

  1. Please pray for the Lord to lead us accordingly with regards to our church. I long for more involved members and leadership. People are so busy here and seems like the demands of this world is taking priority. But that is just my thought; I could be wrong. so please pray for me to wait on the Lord for answers to my prayer and for me to be discerning of what His will is. We are relatively healthy and managing the aging as gracefully as we can 🙂

Carlos Movilla- Canada

  1. Pray for God’s direction to the Men’s ministry of our church River of Life Alliance Church. Most of them are not active. May God touch their hearts to get involved in the Lord’s work. Also, revival in our church as many are just comfortable of being church goer. Pray also that our lead Pastor and church leaders will be geared to discipleship. The church is already 30 years, but I don’t see concrete discipleship program though we are strong in small group relationship, but most leaders have no training or empowerment. May God help us see the need for intentional discipleship, importance of Scripture Memory etc.
