B. Cebu

Gary and Delia Leath

• On July 7, we are driving to Colorado Springs to attend 2 conferences in Glen Eyrie Castle (Family Gathering of Returning Missionaries, Jul 8-15 and East Asia Transition Conference, July 15-17). Please pray for safety on the road and spiritual refreshment and encouraging times with one another during these 2 conferences. Also, please pray for our time with my elementary classmate, Cito Villascastin, married to a Caucasian and blessed with two daughters. The whole family lives in Colorado Springs. We hope that there will be natural spiritual conversations around the gospel as we spend time with them.

• Please pray for wisdom and creative ways in advancing the gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom among my elementary and high school classmates and former university colleagues and their respective families. Recently, we were able to spend time with some of them in Houston, TX. Specifically, please pray for a former colleague in USC, Eileen with husband Adam Krupp and my high school classmate, Perl Fernandez and daughter Cathy with husband Mike Powell as we had begun spiritual conversations with them that they will come to a deep commitment in Jesus.

• Please pray for a good nanny who can help our daughter Hannah in looking after their newborn identical twin boys as she goes back to work in August. Also pray for God’s leading of a pre-school for the 3-year-old Dallas, first born of Hannah’s.

• Please pray for the people in our ongoing John study groups that they will in turn be motivated and encouraged to lead Investigative/Evangelistic bible study groups using the gospel of John among their families and friends in their natural networks of relationships.

• Please pray for our local friends in East Asia, as they are faced with difficult challenges in exercising their faith in the midst of a restrictive environment. Please pray that the parents would be faithful in teaching their children the Word of God in their homes.

5 He established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers to teach to their children; 6 that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children,
7 so that they should set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments;
Psalms 78: 5-7

41 Then they left the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name. 42 And every day in the temple and at home they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.
Acts 5:41, 42

WEEK 3

MINDANAO

WEEK 4

• Please pray that Tony’s colonoscopy on July 21 will be clear, her breast examination on July 1 be clear as well.

B. Bangladesh

Pls pray for the Lord’s provision of the Visa for Gustaf and Reyda so they can go back to Bangladesh soon. Please pray for God’s provision for all their needs.

C. Ukraine

• Please pray for the many brothers and sisters doing God’s work in Ukraine. There are numerous missionaries, and pastors and church leaders who are actively on the ground serving the Ukrainian people daily. Pray for their protection, and that they be able to freely continue serving God and the people around them. Pray that they would be unafraid and unashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation for those who believe, and that God would enable them to walk in His strength and stand firm against the evil that faces them now.

• Pray that in the face of fear, believers in Ukraine will find opportunities to hold out the Good News of Christ, who offers us perfect peace in a world that offers none. Acts 8:4 tells us, “Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.” As it has in so many other times and places, may this time of unrest and persecution serve to ignite the Gospel in ways we can’t even imagine.

“Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Psalm 103:1-5, NIV
