“… I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you…”

About the Theme
Pagsibol means germination and growth. It is akin to ‘tagsibol’ or springtime when after staying on the ground for a brief period of dead winter, seeds spring out into green shrubs that soon produce flowers and fruits. In the recent years, the Philippine Navigators have seen a new generation of disciples and laborers, many of whom are children of alumni and staff. These young adults are making disciples and leading ministries in their area and the younger ones are following their footsteps. The Family Camp 2017 provides a unique opportunity to celebrate God’s faithfulness and grace in allowing such fruitfulness to happen in our Nav family. It is also to acknowledge a deep realization expressed by many of us that bearing spiritual fruit is not a result of our own human striving. Children of Navigator staff and alumni saw the frailty and imperfection of their parents and yet by God’s grace many chose to believe in Him and embrace the faith of their elders. It is a precious and sometimes painful lesson to learn that our primary responsibility is to delight in the Lord, to seek him and love him with all our heart and soul and in the process, He will enable us to bear fruits that last. The camp will offer opportunities to re-affirm and rearticulate the CORE (Calling, Vision and Core Values) both to the old and younger generation. It is also time to strengthen informal and formal bonds we have with each other so we can move and work together to fulfill what the Lord has called us to do.
