National leaders of the Philippine Navigators gathered on January 24–25, 2026, for a retreat and planning session to seek God’s direction for national leadership. The retreat, facilitated by Jonathan and Thelma Nambu, centered on the theme “Abide in Me” (John 15:1–17), creating space to slow down, draw near to God, and listen in prayer. This was followed by a planning discussion focused on leadership development and succession.
The three guided devotions—Abide in Me, Abide in My Love, and Bear Fruit That Remains—framed the retreat’s reflections which invited both personal reflection and corporate discernment. Leaders reflected on their walk with God, were reminded of their identity in Christ’s love, and considered the fruit He is growing in their lives. These moments helped ground the team in honesty, renewal, and realignment in Christ.
In preparation, participants met online the week prior to engage pre-work materials and reflect on Scripture. Building on this, the planning sessions focused on leadership succession and organizational alignment—reviewing the current structure, identifying potential leaders for the pipeline, and beginning discussions on a leadership development framework.

January 24–25, 2026
Overall, the gathering created space for both spiritual grounding and forward-looking leadership planning, rooted in a shared desire to steward leadership faithfully for the future. Moving forward, division overseers will validate the identified high-potential individuals (HPIs) and assign leadership levels based on proposed competencies. A leadership development framework and curriculum will then be drafted for review, after which each HPI will develop a personal development plan with their supervisor.
