Personal and Ministry Background
CLSU Campus
CLSU started as a lowly farm school. The school was converted into
college in 1950 to promote agricultural education. CLSU is one of the
more nationally-known institutions of higher learning in the country.
Straddling on a 658-hectare area, the main campus of CLSU is located in
the town of Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, 150 kilometers
from Metro Manila.
The University has at least 16,000 population composed of primary,
secondary and college students. Most of these students come from poor
farming and fishing villages. The students I meet in this University are
whom I spend time for Bible Study. I hope that as I bring the gospel to
the students and their friends and families, they will find hope and
comfort though Jesus Christ and His Word.
PhilRice
PhilRice, a government agency located at Maligaya, Muñoz, Nueva
Ecija is the place where we minister to young professionals. We call our
group EnCircle (for details see my November 2004 newsletter).
Ministry Involvement
This is a pioneering ministry. The ministry here at CLSU-PhilRice started
last June of 2001. We now have twenty-five (25) college students
regularly joining Bible study, two(2) high schoolers and ten (10) young
professionals and some couples. I've been a full time for nine years.
Family
I'm married to Evelyn Herrera Bandonill born March 4, 1973. I have two
sons, they are Charles Joseph (3 years, 9 months old) born June 18, 2001
and Caleb John (3 weeks old) born February 2, 2005. We got married last June
10, 2000.
